About PAIR

After 30 years of combined hospitality industry experience disappointed and discouraged with the lack of locally sourced products available and utilized in Vancouver restaurants at the time Janis & Todd  Hodgins felt compelled to create an intimate space  that focused exclusively on locally harvested products from the open waters, vineyards and farms within their own province of British Columbia and with doing so taking the initiative to fully integrate an all BC concept to the Vancouver dining scene.

Inspiration was to come from the commitments of  the native peoples of the Northwest Coast as well as the exposure to their  family farms and gardens  growing up as children which they have continued now with their own .

Much has changed and almost 9 years later the scene has grown exponentially with the public now expecting a degree of local influence within menus across the globe.

Pair since has become a model and continues to proudly educate and serve the best in British Columbian ingredients while tastefully allowing exposure for small lot boutique style wineries , spirit producers and breweries from within the province .

“Their mantra is simple, unpairtentious food, great wine ,community and sustainability.”
